A plow through the nation
On the 19th of february we have started to pray for 40 days 24 hours 7 days a week until easter. From that moment we have not stopped to thank God for making it possible to be part of this 24-7 prayer chain. Even though we do not see each other, there is such an awareness that our prayers are part of something bigger. Part of a united body that constantly pleads before God to bring revival to our nation. What a blessing to partner with each other to bring heaven to earth through prayer.
During our prayer hours I started to see how our prayers are like a plow going through the nation. Pondering on this I believe God started to speak.
The definition of the word plough is:
“A large farming implement with one or more blades fixed in a frame, drawn over soil to turn it over and cut furrows in preparation for the planting of seeds”.
What an amazing image! God the great gardener is using us like blades fixe the frame of His Spirit to prepare the nation for the planting of seeds! Just as a plow turns the ground and loosens it, the dark forces and strongholds in our nation are being loosened by our prayer. And just as a plough unroots old plants and brings up rocks and stones, our prayer is clearing the ground of everything that needs be taken out.
“Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
We want to encourage everyone to be bold in spreading the seed of the gospel. Our prayers have prepared the ground to receive the word , and we believe you will find many open hearts that are willing to receive the Gospel.
We are looking forward to what God is going to do in this nation. God is faithful, and it is a blessing and honour to partner with Him as we pray. We will see Sweden saved!
Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. 24 Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. 1 Samuel 12:23-24
